Autonomous Perception & Driving Systems (PERCEPTION · AUTONOMOUS MOBILITY)
Developed camera and radar perception pipelines for an autonomous off-road vehicle, integrating object detection, lane understanding, and embedded processing with braking, steering, and speed control. The work supported autonomous driving capabilities demonstrated in SAE Autonomous BAJA.
Status: Competition-demonstrated system. Context: Team experience through IPS Sprinters, SAE Autonomous BAJA.
NexFire: Intelligent Fire Detection & Suppression (COMPUTER VISION · FIRE SAFETY)
Developed a YOLO-based fire-detection prototype with live-camera processing and preliminary motorized targeting. The next stage integrates thermal, smoke, and heat sensing with edge processing and controlled suppression to verify fire events and direct the response.
Status: Prototype development.
Machine Representations for Perception & Action (SELF-SUPERVISED LEARNING · REPRESENTATION RESEARCH)
Researching how Vision Transformers learn machine representations for downstream perception, with experiments in self-supervised learning, knowledge distillation, and semantic compression. Exploring extensions toward vision-language-action systems, with evaluation focused on task performance, small-object understanding, and computational efficiency.
Status: Ongoing research. Context: Team research experience through BharatNex.
